About Our Company

Founded in 2003, Books4mykids.com began as a part-time endeavor for Cheryl Yennaco. Seeking a new hobby that she could involve her family in, she discovered that a career with Usborne Books at Home could provide the income along with quality family time and the rewards of encouraging literacy at home.

During the past 3 years, our company has grown with Usborne Boks considerably. In our first year we conducted only 40 home shows, and while business was more than we expected, we saw the opportunity to achieve much more. During 2006 we ran more than 60 events, each of them more than doubling the sales at a typical home show. During the last year our consultants team grew to more than 75 consultants and supervisors.

Today, in addition to selling quality Usborne books online, we organize Usborne book fairs and other fundraisers for large groups, we coach and train consultants in private and group sessions and we continue to promote literacy in our community through Usborne Books.

About Our Founder

Cheryl Yennaco has more than 17 years experience in sales and marketing for small businesses. After a very successful career as a sales executive, she chose to remain home after her first child and focus on her family. She soon found that her entrepreneurial spirit was difficult to quiet and that she sought career opportunity but not at the expense of her husband and two young boys.

Cheryl does most of work for Usborne Books through Books4mykids.com herself, but she is helped every day by her children and husband in any capacity they can. From stamping paperwork to setting up Fair Booths, Cheryl has made her business a family business, teaching her sons the value of hard work and the rewards of owning your own Usborne business.

Thanks to her and her family's efforts, Cheryl was named a Top Ten New Consultant in 2005 and a Top Ten Consultant in Home Show Sales in 2005 and 2006. She has not only won two trips through Usborne Books at Home but also has been praised by her consultants as a true leader, mentor and friend. She is dedicated to assisting her consultants and providing all the support they need to make their Usborne businesses what they want them to be.
